Latest update
This week we focused on how the enemy uses lies, doubt, and fear before destruction, and why young hearts need truth planted early.
Session recaps
Session One
Why God reaches people young
+
We looked at God’s purpose for humanity, why truth planted early matters, and how faith and fear lead people in different directions.
Why God reaches people young
Our focus was on understanding why God places such importance on reaching people at a young age.
We started in Genesis 1:27 and discussed God’s original intent for humanity to reflect Him. From there, we talked about how adults can still be restored by God, but years of fear, false beliefs, and unhealthy patterns can make truth harder to receive later in life.
In Proverbs 22:6, we saw how what is planted early can stay with a person over time. That led us into a conversation about why youth are in a powerful position to receive truth while their hearts and minds are still being formed.
We also looked at Numbers 13 and 14, comparing the fearful response of the spies with the faith of Joshua and Caleb. The lesson was simple: fear exaggerates obstacles, but faith trusts God’s word over what eyes can see.
Our goal is to help students build their foundation in truth now, instead of spending years later trying to untangle lies and unbelief.
Session Two
How the enemy works through lies first
+
We studied the enemy’s strategy of planting doubt, making wrong look good, and hardening hearts through fear, shame, and repeated lies.
How the enemy works through lies first
Our focus was on understanding what the enemy wants and how he works. We began with a simple truth: he usually does not come with force first. He comes with lies first.
Starting again from Genesis 1:27, we remembered God’s original purpose for humanity. Then we moved to Genesis 3:1 to 6 and studied how the serpent questioned God’s word, stirred doubt, and made disobedience seem attractive.
We discussed how the same pattern still happens today. The enemy makes wrong look good and truth look boring. He plants lies early through culture, bullying, shame, family issues, and media so that fear, pride, and selfishness grow where love and faith should be.
We compared fear and faith again through Numbers 13 and 14. The fearful report kept people from trusting God, while Joshua and Caleb responded with belief.
We closed with 1 Peter 5:8 and the reminder to stay alert. The enemy looks for access, so we must protect our hearts and help each other stand firm in truth.
